De Amstel: a reputed name

At the national and international level, 'De Amstel' is a reputed name where it concerns the production of Ficus; from the youngplants stage until the most gigantic sizes which are up to 7 meters in length.

'De Amstel' thanks this leading role in the first place to the unique composition of its Ficus assortment, which consists of a wide range of Ficus varieties in numerous forms, shapes and sizes. Moreover, 'De Amstel' has her own assortment of exclusive varieties, which are all protected by plant breeders’ rights and/or plant patent rights.

Optimimal quality and service

'De Amstel' has opted for a sales system through the Dutch auctions and exporters; itself 'De Amstel' focusses entirely on the production and propagation of her products.

For 'De Amstel', the providing of optimimal quality and service is of the utmost importance. This is a good thing, because the customers in Holland and other countries very rightfully put high demands on the plants they buy from 'De Amstel'.

Youngplants nursery

Two years ago we've build a second nursery in Nieuwveen. This location is used as a nursery where only multiplication processes are taking place. The reason for this is hygiene. In this automated nursery Ficus and Zamio Culcas are being produced. Of most Ficus varieties, rooted cuttings are available in several kinds of trays. Orders can be made to measure.

Import

Our import is mainly comming from Costa Rica. The plants are grown here in 6 to 8 months to full grown plants.
